ORGANIZATIONAL HIERARCHY

The highest authority of the organization is the Congress. This takes place every two years. The congress consists of delegates from each of the regional organizations that make up CEPCO. Delegates to the congress are appointed by the assemblies of each organization. The congress elects the State Board of Directors, which is made up of the President, Secretary and Treasurer, and their respective alternates, and a representative from each of the regions (Mixteca, Mazateca, Sierra Sur, Sierra Norte, Papaloapan, Isthmus and Coast) into which the member organizations are grouped.

Between congresses, CEPCO's decision-making body is the State Assembly of Representatives. This takes place monthly, attended by at least one representative from each organization, in addition to the State Board of Directors and the Board of the Commission on Women. The Women's Board is appointing at a Congress or Statewide Meeting of women that takes place every three years.

Decision-making and dissemination of information on all matters pertaining to the organization, not only on marketing but also on public policies, programs and projects, takes place during the Congress and in the monthly assemblies of representatives.
